Our house is ideally placed for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or skiing in winter, visiting the area and its surroundings, or simply relaxing in Balnea.

Peyragudes ski resort welcomes you for a new ski season until March 24, 2024.

During your stay at Lou Gancho, you can take advantage of preferential rates for ski equipment rental at Nestier Sports.

Balnéa, the first thermoludic complex in the French Pyrenees, is just a 15-minute drive from the guest house.

Located in Loudenvielle, in the Louron Valley, very close to Peyragudes and Val Louron ski resorts and besides Lac de Génos-Loudenvielle, the Balnéa spa complex offers 2-hour access to the baths, as well as a range of treatments (massages, reflexology, etc.).

Peyragudes ski resort is 2.5 km from our guest house. During winter season, you can rely on 51 slopes, 18 ultra-fast lifts and snow coverage thanks to snow cannons.

During summer, the resort offers other activities such as hiking, with 20 signposted itineraries classified according to level of difficulty. Numerous other outdoor activities are possible, including climbing, white-water sports and mountain biking.

45 minutes from the guest house, the fantastic town of Saint-Bertrand de Comminges offers a rich heritage dating back over 2000 years.

Walk through the streets of the medieval town, close to the cathedral, or through the remains of the ancient roman city with its theater, thermal baths and one of the largest markets in the Roman West.

Do not forget the Basilica of Saint Just de Valcabrère, built in the 13th century on the site of a pagan necropolis and a Paleo-Christian cemetery, the remains of which are still visible today.

From Comminges french area, it’s the gateway to Catalonia and Spain. In winter, Val d’Aran is well known for the quality of its snow, with Baqueira Beret ski resort. In summer, it’s a hiker’s paradise, with the GR211 winding its way around.

Just 35 minutes from the guest house, the wildlife Aran Park lets you discover the mountain’s wild fauna on a 2-hour tour with partly free animals.
